Section 1.1: First Page

 

This is the first page of the World Culture Forum Website.  Pressing on the “Enter” () link will move the user to the main page of the site.   

 


 

As soon as the “Enter” () link is pressed, the main page of the WCF site will be displayed. 

 

Section 2.2: Main Page 

 

 

 

From this page, the user can read a descriptive introduction about the site, as well as move to either of the following pages by simply clicking on the intended link at the top of the page:

Section 3:  Online Registration

The WCF site provides to the user an easy and efficient way to register online.  Clicking the “Online Registration” () link will move the user to the page shown below. 

This page contains a lot of information, and is therefore rather long.  It is divided into two main sections; Personal Information and Forum Registration and Accommodation Packages. 

The first section (Personal Information) is divided into four logical sections. 

 

The first section contains the following fields which the user must fill.  Notice the red astrix (*) following most of the field names.  This symbolizes a mandatory field.  This means the system will not register the user if any one of these mandatory fields is not filled in correctly.

The user can either write the picture’s path in the available text field, or he/she can choose to browse for it.  If one chooses to browse for a certain document, he/she will view the following upon clicking the Browse () button. 

This enables the admin to select the desired image.  When the needed image is chosen, its path will automatically appear in the text box near the URL.

The second section “Forum Registration and Accommodation Packages” is divided into six sections, some of which are informative rather than for gathering data from the user.

  

 

1.  Registration by Mail or Fax 

 

·       If the user wishes to send the application by mail or fax, he/she must copy the address provided carefully.  It is crucial that the address be correct, or the application will not go through.

 

2.  Payments

 

     2.1.  Wire Transfer

 

·       The user is obliged use the address provided under this section for the wire transfer.  It is crucial that the address be correct, or the wire transfer will not go through.

 

 

3.  Hotel Accommodation

 

·       A negotiation has been made with partner hotels in terms of packages for those participants who wish to make use of them.  These packages provide the following:

o   Accommodation in the hotel of your choice

o   Daily buffet breakfast;

o    Daily coffee breaks between sessions;

o   All taxes are inclusive;

o    Forum kit;

o    Access to all sessions of the Forum;

o    Access to the participants contact lists;

o    Access to all the artistic events of the Forum;

o    Ground transportation including shuttle services between Forum hotels, conference center, social venues and cultural and artistic events locations during the full duration of the Forum;

o    Meet and assist upon at Queen Alia International Airport.

 

 

The remaining part of this section is concerned with the actual selection of the package and its particulars.  The user must select the Hotel Name before he/she fills in any other accompanying information.  The rate provided in the table is accounted for the full package.   The table provides the single rate in US dollars, the double rate, the rate for the executive suite, and the rate for the junior suite. In some hotels (the last three hotels), there is a rate for stand rooms, superior rooms, deluxe rooms, premium rooms, and junior suites.     

 

 

The user must select the hotel name by simply click on the circle beside the intended hotel.  A black circle will appear signifying that very the hotel has been chosen.

 

 

 

The user must then chose the time interval he/she wishes to spend in the hotel by clicking on the () icon.  Instantaneously the following calendar will appear.  The user can simply click on the date intended. 

 

 

Now the user needs to select the room.  A drop down list is provided to ease the selection process. 

 

 

The system will then automatically produce the accumulated sum of all the user’s stay in the hotel in the “Total US $” column.

 

 

In the end, the user has the option adding any special diet or room requirements in the available text box.  

 

 

 

4.  Flight Details

 

·       This section is comprised of two main fields:

 

o  Arrival Flight No: The user must enter the flight number, the date (using the   calendar mentioned above), and the time of the flight.

o  Departure Flight No:  The user must enter the flight number, the date (using the calendar mentioned above), and the time of the flight.

 

 

5.  Payment

·       If the user chooses to wire the money, he/she must use the address provided in this section after selecting the checkbox.

 

He/She must also chose whether or not an invoice/receipt is wanted by selecting either “Yes” or “No”. 

If yes, then the user must chose who the invoice should be sent to using the available drop down list.

If the “Other” option was selected, the user must specify in the following text field.

 

*Note: the deadline must be taken into consideration.

 

 

6.  Cancellation Policy

·       This section explains how a user may cancel a booking if necessary.  It states that one may do so by giving written notice via email or fax, which takes effect on the day we receive the communication. The scale of charges set out below will apply depending on when written notice is received:

 

o  By July 31 2005:  $25.00 per participant.

o  By August 10 2005:  $50.00 per participant.

o  By August 20 2005: 50% of the total charge (accommodation and registration fee).

o  By August 31 2005: No refund.

 

After the user has completed filling in all the fields, he/she must press the Submit” “” button to submit the application.  The Reset “” button clears all the inputs from the fields.
