Abdelfattah Abusrour was born in Aida refugee camp-Bethlehem on august 12th, 1963. He obtained a PhD in Biological and Medical Engineering in 1993 at Paris Nord University, France. Despite his scientific studies, he had a love for arts and theatre. He was active in the youth center in the camp, and became a board member at the age of 19 years old.

In 1998, with a group of friends, he founded Alrowwad Cultural and theatre Training Center for Children in Aida camp, where he initiated theatre and drama workshops and performances by children. He participated with Theatre Day Productions in different workshops among which the Children theatre festival in Croatia in 1998. In 1999, he was nominated for a scholarship by the Royal Court Theatre for a Play writing workshop in Royal Court Theatre-London for one month, where he created ‘The New Born’. He is a volunteer General Manager and director of Alrowwad Center.
