Personal Profile
Ms. Lina Attel , founder and the Director General of The Performing Arts Center (PAC) of The Noor Al Hussein Foundation in Jordan, since 1987. Recognized for her pioneering role in introducing drama into mainstream education in Jordan, workshop leader who has trained thousands of school teachers and theatre artists throughout the Arab world. Published articles and research papers on Theatre in Education, methodology and practice, for local, regional and international organizations.

Deeply involved in promoting issues related to democracy and human rights for youth and women, through multimedia programs. Educated in Jordan, Pakistan and later in Britain where she gained her M.A degree in Theater in Education.

Lina Attel has extensive experience in theatre and the arts as director, actress and educator. She has received many prizes and awards amongst them ; The international prize “Grozdanin Kikot” for the Contribution to the Development of Drama Education from The Mostar Youth Theater - Bosnia and Herzegovina, 2000, “Al Hussein Medal for Distinction of the First Order for distinguished achievement in the field of theatre- Jordan, 2000. Member of The Advisory Committee of the Hague Appeal for Peace, Global Campaign for Peace Education and The International Association of Theater for Children and Young people (ASSITEJ).
