Gilmore, Fiona (Founding Director of Acanchi Consulting) (UK)

Fiona Gilmore is founding partner of Acanchi, an independent communications strategy consultancy, based in London with associates in Beijing and Moscow.
During her 25 year career Fiona has advised on communications strategy, brand positioning, architecture, migration, innovation, internal communications and identity for global leaders including Vodafone, Unilever, Lloyd’s, Giorgio Armani and Wrigley. Working at Michael Peters, she became the youngest Managing Diretor in the industry, her achievements being recognised by her receiving a Veuve Cliquot award as one of the most promising business women of the year.


Michael Peters grew to become the largest branding consultancy in Europe in 1988.
Fiona then established Brand and Design Consultancy Springpoint, which under her leadership quickly grew to an international consultancy with offices in three continents.

In 2001 Springpoint was acquired by the international group IPG and in 2003 she left the group and founded Acanchi. Fiona is author of three books, Brand Warriors (HarperCollins 1997), Warriors on the High Wire (Profile 2001) and Brand Warriors China (Profile 2003). She has written a number of academic papers in the International Journal of Brand Management and her research on UK: Voices of our time was covered by international media including Time magazine and the Times. She has presented papers at conferences around the world, including New York, Beijing, Moscow, Istanbul, Barcelona, and Hong Kong.
