de Gouveia, Philip
Director of the Foreign Policy Centre's Public Diplomacy programme. As a
journalist (1998-2003), Philip specialised in trans-national crime issues,
reporting for the BBC World Service from the Middle East, West Africa, the
Caribbean, Latin America and the Balkans. He is a graduate of the University
of Dublin (Trinity College) and the Institute of Communications Studies at
the University of Leeds. He recently published a Foreign Policy Centre
pamphlet entitled ‘An African Al-Jazeera? Mass Media and the African
Renaissance’, and is preparing to publish a report on ‘European Infopolitik:
Developing EU Public Diplomacy and Third-country Communications strategy’ in
late 2005. |
