Rajan, Nalini, Associate
Professor, Asian College of Journalism
Nalini Rajan has a doctorate in
Social Communication (specialising in political philosophy) from the
Catholic University of Louvain, Belgium. Her academic publications include
‘Secularism, Democracy, Justice – implications of Rawlsian principles in
India’, Sage, 1998, and ‘Democracy and the Limits of Minority Rights’, Sage,
2002. Her edited volume, ‘Practising Journalism – values, constraints and
implications’ was published by Sage earlier this year. She is presently
working on the second volume of ‘Practising Journalism’, as well as on an
edited volume on ‘Culture and the new digital technologies’ for Routledge
Publications. Her fictional work, ‘A Pangolin’s Tale’ will be published
shortly by Tara Press, a subsidiary of India Research Press, New Delhi. Dr.
Rajan is Associate Professor at the Asian College of Journalism, Chennai.
