QINGAN, DR. ZHOU (Tsinghua University, Beijing) Qingan, Dr Zhou is a Research fellow at the Center for International Communications Studies, Tsinghua University. Prior to this position, he was editor and director of the features desk at the International Herald Leader, Xinhua News Agency, and foreign policy columnist for the New Beijing Daily. Zhou Qingan specialises in Public Diplomacy, Global media and Foreign Policy, and the relationship between government and media. His recent books (including those co-authored) are Soft Power and Global Communication (2005) and Online Journalism (2000).
